Purpose of Position

The Merchandising and Product Lifecycle Director is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of product merchandising and lifecycle management across all markets. This role aims to drive product innovation, optimize product offerings, and enhance customer engagement, ensuring that Casetify remains at the forefront of the industry.
Job Description
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including concept development, design, production, launch, and eventual phase-out.
- Develop long-term inventory and demand planning strategies to align with CASETiFY’s growth objectives.
- Analyze sales forecasts and adjust inventory plans accordingly to meet demand and minimize excess stock.
- Monitor stock levels across all locations and sales channels to maintain optimal inventory.
- Ensure effective allocation of products across various channels and locations to maximize sales potential.
- Work with the Head of Product on pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning while maximizing gross margins.
- Monitor promotional activities and assess their impact on pricing and profitability.
- Analyze product performance and market feedback to improve future product enhancements.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and insights on the competitive landscape.
- Utilize data-driven analysis to guide product assortment and merchandising strategies.
- Work closely with design, marketing, development, and supply chain teams to ensure product alignment with business goals.
- Build and lead a high-performing merchandising and product lifecycle team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance on best practices in merchandising and product management.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on product performance and merchandising initiatives.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in merchandising, product management, or related roles within the consumer goods or fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and merchandising principles.
- Proven ability to analyze market trends and consumer data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and merchandising software.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
