Product Engineer
This role includes:
- Acting as the key liaison between the production facility and product development teams to address any product or design-related inquiries or challenges.
- Overseeing the creation of prototypes, mock-ups, and test assemblies, and ensuring the smooth implementation of product changes at the production site.
- Coordinating product and process changes between the parent and receiving plants.
- Using engineering principles to design products that fulfill customer requirements for technical functionality while also meeting manufacturing efficiency and cost targets.
- Applying mathematical modeling techniques to assess the feasibility of proposed designs.
- Contributing to and supporting the design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of product prototypes.
- Potentially engaging in the design of specialized manufacturing processes and equipment for product production.
At the lead level, the Product Engineer is an expert in the field, typically gained through a combination of advanced education and significant work experience (usually requiring 8+ years in a relevant role).
Key responsibilities typically include:
- Managing large-scale projects or end-to-end processes with minimal supervision.
- Mentoring and overseeing the work of less experienced professionals.
- Handling complex and challenging problem-solving situations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in CAD, Catia V5
Salary Range: $70,000-80,000
