Department
Among the essential components in a minerals processing facility, Flotation cells play a pivotal role, facilitating the separation and concentration of valuable minerals from gang materials. We are currently in search of a Product Engineer who can contribute to the advancement of our product line.
Role
Oversees the implementation of mechanical design aspects in projects or products, ensuring timely, budget-conscious engineering in accordance with agreed specifications. Guarantees the delivery of the product or project with the requisite quality standards.
Your responsibilities

Responsibility for design integrity of product line.

Take responsibility for delivering engineering packages on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards for individual projects.

Contribute to standardization, product enhancement, and the overall development of the product line through Value Engineering.

Check and approve engineering drawings (including 3D model) from the points of view of, technical completeness, clarity, conformance with standards, dimensional accuracy and the correct specification of materials and processes.

Coordinates and monitors progress of the design work conducted by another designer.

Travel to job sites and regional offices as needed to provide support for equipment issues, installations, and sales efforts.

Participate in the development of design standards, guide specifications, and design control procedures.

Tackle complex design problems, necessitating the creation of new or improved techniques and procedures.

Reviews customer specifications.

Performs and Reviews mechanical calculations.

Foster a culture of personal and team safety, encompassing all those affected by the company's operational activities.

Constantly improving technical skills and keep updating on the latest developments in mineral product engineering.
What you bring
-
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering is required.
- 6-8years’ experience with the design and development of large industrial equipment.
- Proficient in engineering design fundamentals: machine design, mechanics of materials and structural analysis, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication systems, drive trains, fatigue, vibration, fluid mechanics, etc.
- Good working knowledge of standard steel fabrication, casting and other manufacturing processes.
- Proficient with engineering design tools (AutoCad, Solidworks, FEA-ANSYS, etc. ).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Basic understanding of design requirements of other engineering disciplines: electrical, process, etc.
- Proficient in change management and conflict resolution.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
Experience
6 to 8 years’ experience
