Job Summary
This position is responsible for the development of formulations while supporting purchasing and overall operations of the products. The job involves a high degree of nuance specificity, requiring flexibility and excellent attention to detail.
PAY
24 - 31.25 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Food Science required
- Preferred a minimum two years in a lab environment or relevant experience in educational atmosphere.
- Formal training in Continuous Improvement, Lean or Six Sigma preferred
- Applied Mathematics
- Experience with common laboratory equipment and good laboratory practices
- Project Management Skills
- Strong computer skills with applied use of ERP system
- Experience with Experimental Designs.
- Experience with problem solving and analytical tools.
- Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information to non-technical audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate dietary supplement formulations to meet customer requirements.
- Set up ERP product data including product item codes, BOM’s, and routings.
- Analyze costs and create price quotations for manufacturing services.
- Review customer specifications. E. Reformulate current products per changes in customer specifications, raw material changes, etc.
- Analyze cost implications of material price fluctuations.
- Assist Purchasing in the qualifying of new raw materials.
- Provide recommendations to lower costs, improve efficiency, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.
