The Product Development Intern will support the full product development team across the body, fragrance, and hair categories. In this role you will learn the development of new Sol de Janeiro products from the marketing brief to first production delivery with hands-on experience. Someone who loves beauty and is interested in learning how new products are brought to life and excels in a passionate, collaborative culture would be successful in this role. This internship is based in our New York City Headquarters and will take place over a 12 week period. The pay range for this position is $16.50/hour.

The Product Development Intern will work on the following:
- Support the Product Development team to help ensure product launches are executed in an organized and timely manner
- Participate in meetings with contract manufacturers and fragrance houses
- Coordinate and distribute new product samples for internal and external meetings
- Participate and offer ideas in brainstorming meetings for new product concepts
- Support the maintenance of PD files as needed
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the PD product closets
- Perform other assigned projects and functions as directed by Director of Product Development

- You are a student at an accredited University or College
- You are local to the NYC area for a 12-week internship program
- You have interest in the business areas listed above with some relevant coursework, student clubs, and/or internship experience
- Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point

Salary Range
$16.50—$16.50 USD
In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
