About PackageX:

PackageX automates data entry and manual logistics processes for receiving, inventory, and fulfilment in buildings, warehouses, and stores. It uses advanced AI scanning, flexible bolt-on apps, and APIs to drive exceptional workforce productivity, fulfilment efficiency, and real-time visibility.

Our vision is to build the most advanced logistics infrastructure company that orchestrates the movement of physical things and becomes the defining backbone of the digital supply chain.

We're a fast-growing pre-Series A stage startup in New York City with a distributed global team backed by Bullpen Capital, Pritzker Group, Sierra Ventures, Ludlow Ventures, MXV Capital, and NSV Wolf Capital.

Job responsibilities:

- Design user-centric logistics workflows across web and mobile platforms, focusing on efficiency, clarity, and usability for operational users (e.g., warehouse staff, fleet managers, supply chain coordinators).

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, and Operations teams to define user problems, translate them into design solutions, and ship impactful features.

- Create compelling visual artifacts to communicate design intent, including user flows, mockups, clickable prototypes, one-pagers, and internal/external presentations.

- Contribute to product marketing efforts by designing product visuals, launch collateral, and visual documentation that help communicate product value and usability.

- Own the end-to-end design process, from research and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups and final UI delivery, ensuring consistency with design systems and business goals.

- Simplify complex logistics processes like inventory tracking, order fulfillment, shipment management, and production workflows through intuitive interfaces and interactions.

- Conduct user research and usability testing with field users (warehouse workers, drivers, planners, etc.) to validate ideas, uncover pain points, and inform design decisions.

- Create and maintain scalable design systems that work across multiple logistics modules and user personas, ensuring visual consistency and UX coherence.

- Collaborate on rapid prototyping and iteration, contributing to product discovery sessions and testing ideas early with real users.

- Translate data-heavy interfaces into clear, actionable visuals—dashboards, analytics, and operational views that drive fast decisions.

Required skills:

- 6+ years of experience designing digital products, preferably in complex B2B or operational environments.

- Have a minimum of 2 successful mobile/web applications, currently in operation.

- Strong proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar tools for wireframing, UI design, prototyping, and design system creation.

- Strong graphic design abilities – can create polished one-pagers, feature visuals, slide decks, product collaterals and custom graphics using tools like Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Canva.

- Proven experience with end-to-end product design – from research and discovery to shipping and iteration.

- Ability to simplify complex workflows into clean, usable interfaces, especially for non-technical users (e.g., warehouse, drivers, dispatchers).

- Strong understanding of UX best practices, accessibility, and responsive design across platforms.

- Experience in collaborating closely with product managers and engineers, with an understanding of technical constraints and trade-offs.

- Excellent communication skills – can present design decisions clearly, and influence stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to own and drive design initiatives independently, while mentoring junior designers if needed.

Nice-to-have skills:

- Background or experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or field operations tools.

- Familiarity with designing for data-heavy applications, including dashboards, analytics, and system monitoring tools.

- Experience working with design systems at scale (creating, maintaining, evolving).

- Knowledge of user research techniques tailored for operational roles (ride-alongs, shadowing warehouse ops, contextual inquiries).

- Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS/React concepts) to collaborate effectively with devs.

- Familiarity with enterprise software UX patterns (permissions, workflows, audit logs.

- Experience contributing to or facilitating design sprints or product discovery workshops.

- Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments using tools like Linear, Notion.
