Overview
As a Product Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping intuitive, impactful experiences for our users—IT managers, operations teams, and business leaders—who rely on Electric to streamline and secure their IT operations. A key part of this role is helping build B2B e-commerce-inspired solutions that allow admins to equip employees with the proper hardware, ensuring they have the tools they need from day one.
This is a mid-level role, and we don’t expect you to be an expert in every aspect of UX. Whether you are a strong visual designer still honing your research skills or have a solid UX foundation but are growing in interaction design, this role provides opportunities to deepen your expertise with guidance from senior designers and the UX manager.
If you’re excited about creating user-friendly software that empowers SMBs, thrive in agile environments, and enjoy solving complex problems with a collaborative team, we’d love to hear from you!
What you’ll do
- Design & Iterate: Execute UX and UI designs from concept to implementation, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to translate business goals into intuitive, effective user experiences.
- Support Agile Teams: Contribute to design work for one or more scrum teams, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
- Improve & Evolve UX: Identify opportunities to refine workflows, enhance usability, and align with user needs across Electric’s IT management platform.
- User Research & Testing: Conduct or contribute to user research efforts, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions.
- Contribute to Design Systems: Work within and help refine Electric’s design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
- Tool Mastery & Flexibility: Utilize Figma for wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI, and Miro for collaborative design exercises, with the ability to adapt to other tools as needed.
Who you are
- An Execution-Focused Designer: You excel at producing high-quality design solutions with guidance from senior designers and the UX Manager.
- SaaS or B2B E-Commerce Experienced: You have at least 3 years of experience designing for SaaS or B2B e-commerce platforms, with a strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and conversion-driven design.
- User-Centered: You think deeply about user needs, leveraging research and feedback to drive design decisions.
- Detail-Oriented & Systematic: You ensure consistency in UI components, interactions, and workflows while considering scalability.
- Collaborative & Adaptable: You thrive in agile environments, working closely with cross-functional partners and adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Eager to Grow: You actively seek feedback and mentorship to refine your skills and expand your impact.

What We Do
IT is the undercurrent of the business world. It’s how companies onboard employees, support collaboration, protect security and serve customers. Businesses run better when company devices, networks, and applications work like a dream.
But most IT services were built for a different time, when hybrid and remote work weren’t the norm — and security risks weren’t quite as high as they are today. Very few companies have the tools they need to get ahead of this trend. Many traditional managed service providers (MSPs) aren’t prepared to adapt to our new world of hybrid work, either.
Electric is reinventing how businesses manage their IT. Providing real-time IT support to over 50,000 users and centralized IT management to over 900 customers, Electric offers companies a 50% reduction in IT spend and standardized security across devices, apps, and networks, whether you're on-site or remote.
Why Work With Us
Electric is a software company. We’re also a team, a community, and a social impact organization. We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination. We strongly believe that hiring with diversity of experience, perspectives, and background in mind will help us build the workforce that we want to see in the world.
