The Role
TIDAL was founded for artists, by artists, to enable artists to take control of their careers and connect more deeply with fans. As a Product Designer, you will shape the experiences, product strategy, and roadmap of Tidal. Our product designers take a product, feature, or experience from ideation to production. This includes vision setting, designing in Figma, prototyping, bringing along cross-functional teams, overseeing implementation, and collaborating with other designers, researchers, analysts, and engineers.
Reporting directly to the Head of Design of our emerging businesses, you'll be part of a global community of designers across Bitkey, Proto, Tidal, and Block as a whole.
This role can be performed from any location in the US.
You Will

• Collaborate with Designers and Engineers to craft high-quality designs that elevate the overall product experience for our customers.
• Own complex design initiatives from start to finish
• Promote design excellence through mentorship, feedback, and knowledge sharing
• Maintain a principled, customer-centric approach throughout each project, using data, insights, and experience to inform decisions
• Experiment with new design tools, methodologies, and approaches to improve the design process and inspire creativity
• Foster a culture of experimentation and creativity, and build connections across teams and disciplines to continuously ship new features to our customers

You Have

• 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer. Bonus points if you're a musician, have worked in the music industry, or have experience with music production software.
• A portfolio showcasing exceptional UX craft, product vision, systems thinking, and prototyping skills.
• Deep understanding of the end-to-end design process-from uncovering customer needs to deliver outstanding user experiences that balances with business goals.
• Excellent storytelling skills, with a "show, don't tell" approach to aligning teams around solving customer problems.
• Experience designing for consumer products across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Eagerness to learn and grow-especially in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to boost workflow efficiency and enhance team operations.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
