How you'll be contributing to Accurx as a Product Designer (Design Systems)..
As a Product Designer (Design System), you’ll be joining our dedicated Design System team, responsible for enabling product teams to produce consistent, accessible and delightful user experiences efficiently. To do this, the team aims to take a currently dispersed and immature Design System and grow it to be fully operational.
What does “fully operational” mean?
- It is being used by product teams to build real products
- It is high-quality - accessible and consistent
- It has a set of active stakeholders that are maintaining and growing it
The Design System team is currently made up of a Senior Product Designer and a Senior Product Engineer, supported by a Senior PM, Head of Service Engineering and Principal Product Designer. As a small, centralised team you have the flexibility to define what approaches are most effective in helping to deliver against your objectives and meet the needs of the cross-functional product teams you serve. Of course, you're not alone. You'll also be part of the Product Design and wider UX function who'll always be there to provide support, share learnings and celebrate your achievements.
Your day to day tasks, should you choose to accept this mission 🤝...
- Actively learn from product teams and other relevant stakeholders to understand and prioritise needs, defining future projects
- Collaborate with design system teammates to evolve assets, such as foundational styles, components, and processes
- Pair with Content Design on writing thoughtful best practice guidance for components and global interface patterns
- Leverage your expertise in user-centred design principles, user experience design, and interaction design to provide input to the design system.
- Onboard and educate people who use the design system, helping achieve high-quality outputs across the product
- Support a community around the design system, sharing regular updates, communicating changes, and asking for feedback

What We Do
Accurx is where conversations happen with and about patients. Through one, easy-to-use platform, we help everyone involved in a patient’s care to communicate and collaborate.
Whether you’re a patient or a healthcare professional, Accurx lets you connect seamlessly with the people you need to.
We believe that healthcare runs on conversations - conversations in GP practices, on hospital wards, over the phone, text, video, email and from a patient’s home. That’s why we’re working toward a health system where everyone involved in patient care can communicate for the good of patients and healthcare staff.
Every interaction on Accurx helps to build a better-connected healthcare system, where easy communication changes and saves lives every day.
