Intro and job overview:
Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, part-time opportunity. This role is for a Juris Doctor candidate currently enrolled in a law degree program with at least two semesters completed. This opportunity is 100% remote located in the United States. Start date will take place mid-May or later in order to accommodate the candidate's summer schedule. The Product and IP Legal Intern will work closely with the Legal team.
The Product and IP Legal intern will work in our Legal Department. The ideal candidate has an interest in working for a global software company and a desire to learn more about different aspects of in-house law practice with a focus on Trademarks and legal Product support. The selected individual will work under the mentorship of a Precisely in-house attorney and other legal staff, assisting on a variety of projects spanning multiple business functions working with both internal clients and external parties.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Complete review, identification, and prioritization of Precisely trademarks renewing globally in 2025
- Identify top partners who utilize our trademarks
- Create and implement guidelines for partners' use of our trademarks
- Identify internal teams who promote and use our trademarks on a regular basis
- Create and implement guidelines for internal teams who promote and use our trademarks on a regular basis
- Review and provide feedback and guidance on trademark use in marketing materials, Precisely webpages and within product and product documentation
- Provide support for special projects as needed
Requirements and qualifications:
- We prefer candidates in the Eastern Time Zone, but all time zones are welcome to apply
- Must be a JD Candidate currently enrolled in a law degree program with at least two semesters completed
- Familiarity with trademark laws and practices
- Completed course work related to trademarks a plus
- Interest in gaining practical experience as a product attorney
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure with keen attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- A background in software and/or technical undergraduate degree beneficial
