Job Description
The Product Analyst will primarily interact with the Product managers, Investment Strategists, Senior Investment Strategists and other investment professionals focusing on business development activities of Fixed Income in Taiwan and the region. The Analyst’s primarily responsibilities include preparation of marketing presentations/materials, responding to ad-hoc requests from our distribution teams, monitoring and analyzing the competitive positioning of AB’s Fixed Income product offerings as well as maintenance and creation of products’ fund flyers. While this position will focus most heavily on Taiwan, the Product Analyst will also be responsible for efforts in the broader Asia Pacific ex-Japan region, both directly and through collaboration with colleagues based around the world.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and updating marketing presentations and other materials to support product and platform messaging and facilitate the promotion and sales of AllianceBernstein’s Fixed Income products
- Researching and preparing regular reports or responses to ad-hoc requests from clients, sales, product strategists and senior investment strategists
- Developing product updates covering performance, attribution, market outlook and positioning; creating product training materials
- Monitoring and analyzing the competitive positioning of the firm’s Fixed Income products and broad industry/market trends; preparing detailed competitive analysis
- Supporting the materials for the product development and rationalization process
- Assisting in the maintenance of Fixed Income data (i.e., assets, personnel, business updates, etc.)
- Work with Product Managers and SISs to offer consistent insight on market trends and sales opportunities
- Work with internal departments both in Taiwan (AB Taiwan) and overseas offices to obtain the necessary data and information for report production, some regular reporting and ad-doc requests and RFP/RFIs related to the respective product line
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read/write/speak in English and Chinese and able to support local product/market materials and commentary
- 4+ years of financial experience. Experience in asset management industry is preferred.
- Degree holder and CFA preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to multi-task, meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment, and works well under pressure
- Possesses strong organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills
- Knowledge of Fixed Income markets is a plus
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Licensed in Taiwan, qualified to be registered as a KYP in Taiwan, i.e. 3-year experience in fund related industry
