This role requires a strong comfort level with remote work and global collaboration as well as a passion for solving complex data challenges.


Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity where you will drive business intelligence while also being a key part of product development, pushing innovation in our geospatial data products. You will collaborate with Engineering, Data Operations, and Revenue teams to analyze product performance, drive new product innovation, and provide actionable insights to inform product strategy and business growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about data, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong ability to translate data into meaningful narratives that support decision-making. The job requires an intrinsic internal and external mindset to “get done what needs to be done” in a Series A startup launching new geospatial data products with a global footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Product Management and Engineering on the improvement of existing products and development of new features and products 
  • Push for innovation where the geospatial industry or our own internal methods have become stagnant 
  • Support the development of AI based products and processes to ensure we are meeting expected quality standards

  • Data Quality & Customer Support:

  • Investigate current and prospective customer feedback, providing insight and recommendations to internal and external teams 
  • Identify trends and anomalies in our data to recommend data-driven solutions and improvements
  • Act as a bridge between the internal data operations team and the engineering and product teams to help ensure data quality initiatives are supported and reflected on the Product Roadmap
  • Present findings and insights in clear, actionable formats to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Maintain a problem solver mindset, digging into issues presented by internal and external teams to identify the root cause

  • Business Intelligence & Market Analysis:

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across products to maintain alignment with broader business objectives
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to inform product strategy
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies 

Requirements

  • 4-8 year proven track record as a product analyst, data analyst, or similar role
  • Expert in PostgreSQL and data analysis, experience with Python, R, or other programming languages is a plus
  • Familiarity with concepts such as: Geospatial data capture, ingest, and analysis; AI/ML algorithms (recommendation engines, application of transformers for human automation, etc.); Internal dashboard development and maintenance
  • Experience working cross-functionally in Agile and/or ShapeUp environments
  • Ability to understand customer feedback and requirements and translate them into data analysis to answer real questions
  • Experience working in an early stage startup environment and the ability to operate independently while staying aligned with company goals
