Job Purpose
As a Product Analyst (Web Analyst), you play a pivotal role in realising growth in our overall e-commerce experience and performance
- Serve as a point of contact for the delivery of analytics and insights, the development of dashboards and detailed analysis of the performance of all our websites, user related behaviour and delivering recommendations for optimization
- Understand market trends, performance trends and influencing factors to make growth recommendations
- Understand user behaviour, analyse user patterns, find improvement points and pain areas
- Create testing hypotheses together with business stakeholders, translate to test ideas and recommendations for product improvements from qualitative and quantitative analysis/research
- Communicate actionable insights through data visualisation and data storytelling
- Find new ways to attract new customers and to retain and maximise the value of existing customers
- Safeguard data quality for web analytics
Core tasks and responsibilities
- Product analysis
- In depth analysis and understanding of our users and user behaviour, using these insights for web/product optimization
- Product analysis combining quantitative and qualitative data sources
- Establish KPIs for all products (old, where necessary and new)
- Blend behavioural data and product performance for deeper analysis and understanding of purchase patterns
- Independently develop and lead key analytical projects such as user journeys, checkout performance, post-sale optimization and products optimization opportunities
- AB testing
- Developing A/B testing hypothesis based on analysis outcomes
- AB test execution and outcome analysis (supporting any other hypothesis for Ab testing)
- Dashboarding and data visualisation
- Dashboarding and monitoring of all products and new releases
- Reporting and automation for standard products
- Technical tasks
- Define all web data requirements
- Write technical documentation for development teams for GA implementation
- Lead technical implementations of new features or roll-out projects using various tag management tools such as Tag Manager 360
- Testing of implementation and technical sign offs
- Web tools management
- QA
- Connecting various data sources to enrich web data for more insights and optimizations (SQL)
- Highlight opportunities for better use of existing data sources, identify data blind spots and a strategy for fixing them
- System knowledge
- Stay on top of trends and improvements related to web analytics tool to ensure we have most up-to-date set up and are ready for the future
- Inside-out knowledge of GA suite (incl marketing tools)
- Data privacy (example GDPR for Europe) understand and safeguard user’s data privacy
- Scale decision-making tools and produce KPI-driven dashboards to help POs and business stakeholders to optimise all products and drive budget allocation decisions.
- Collaboration
- Knowledge sharing sessions with different parts of the business to broaden web analytics understanding and enable self-service where possible
- Close collaboration with POs and any other stakeholders such as Marketeers, Commercial Teams and IT
- Relationship with external partners (where applicable)
- Working with internal stakeholders (POs, PMs, developers, designers) to understand major challenges and opportunities. Brainstorm and execute solutions that involve advanced applied analytics methodologies.
- Be the primary point of contact for allocated web analytics sections and develop that area further together with key stakeholders
- Support stakeholders with the automation of reporting dashboards and other processes.
- Business cases and prioritisation
- Collaborate on development prioritisation and business impact and risks through analysis
- Support business cases within the product team (support by quantifying, analysing and estimating impact)
- Collaborate on MVP scope
What you bring to the table
- Master's degree in the fields of statistics, economics, mathematics or similar
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant product performance experience in a similar job in an ecommerce environment, including experience with CRO
- Expert knowledge of web analytics tools GA4, UA or similar
- Expert knowledge of BI tooling including custom reporting, dashboarding, complex segmentation, marketing tools connections and their use
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and interest in data science methods
- Experience with data analysis tools and languages like SQL, Google Big Query, Looker, Optimizely and Google analytics
- Customer focused and data driven
