The Procurement Manager, indirect spend is part of AGC Biologics’ dynamic Supply Chain team in Copenhagen and is a key contributor to Purchasing’s strategic goals. This position is responsible for the Indirect Spend sourcing activities, assuring the operational purchase order process, and working with cross-functional partners throughout the company to support and deliver the best value in product selection, performance, quality, service, and pricing. Our new college will report to the EU Procurement Director.
In this position, you will be responsible for managing indirect spend sourcing activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient purchase order process, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure the best value in product selection, performance, quality, service, and pricing.
The Procurement Manager will report to the EU Procurement Director.
Principal Responsibilities

Manage a team of Procurement Specialists within the Procurement department.

Partner with internal stakeholders to define procurement projects and follow-up on project portfolio

Lead complex procurement activities for services, products and CAPEX equipment in the Copenhagen facility

Achieve cost savings goals through tenders and negotiations for the Procurement team.

Ensure projects progress, deadlines and reporting, achieving team goals.

Support process, tools and system development and upgrades.

Support on ad hoc basis EU / Global on indirect spend.

Build, train, and mentor the Procurement team, promoting professional growth and development.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Managerial experience and skills

Ability to communicate in a professional, efficient manner at all levels of the organization.

Ability to establish successful cross-functional relationships at all levels, including Management.

Solid knowledge of procurement concepts, global supply chain processes, activities and trends

General understanding of cGMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing

Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and time constraints.

Excellent negotiation skills with both large and small suppliers globally

Proficient in MS Office applications

Advanced oral and written communications skills in English and Danish
Education/Experience
-
Commercial/BS/BA degree in related field required (i.e. Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering)

Minimum of 8 years working experience in Procurement in multinational companies (life sciences, medical device or pharmaceutical industries preferred)

1-3 years managerial experience, preferably within Procurement
-
Advanced in RFP/RFQ, supplier selection, project execution, cost and timing management and project close activities.

Experience in using ERP systems in a cGMP environment (experience with Axapta/Dynamics 365 preferred)

Solid experience in the creation, negotiation and administration of contracts
