Role and Responsibilities:

Productivity Review for Development Stage Product

  • Review productivity ad confirm the production process conditions for the pilot line.
  • New model job change schedule management.

Establishment and Revision

  • Define detailed production process
  • Identify production influence factors and define process conditions (4M) standards.
  • Confirm the process standards based on the cell reliability test results.
  • Register process standards on the PLM and set up the equipment operating condition through RMS.
  • Upload newly introduced process or change of the unit process to system

Yield / Uptime Improvement (Performance improvement)

  • Daily monitoring of overall equipment efficiency (OEE) & Yield rate.
  • Data analysis: Examine production raw data to conduct defect analysis, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Troubleshooting and solutions: Identify ad resolve issues in processes, product quality, and equipment by developing effective solutions.
  • Execute quality control through statistical analysis (regular review of SPC management standard, Cpk review, etc.)
  • Examine and develop measures to secure quality and yield while minimizing invested resource (cost, headcount, etc.)
  • Provide technical support to ensure production aligns with quality, efficiency, and safety standards, including preparation for production runs, oversight during production, and managing changes in instructions or materials.
  • Review the quality impact and validity of process addition in accordance with production speed acceleration.

Defect Analysis and Quality Improvement

  • Examine and consult improvement solution of chronic defects
  • Examine and consult process loss improvement
  • Examine and consult non-conformity problem of Electrode semi-product and cell reliability
  • Respond to and follow up of customer audit
  • Respond to ISO / IATF certification and gate audits
  • Make an inquiry and provide advice for the development and optimization of production - related IT systems (e.g. MES) and data verification system.
  • Examine the quality reliability when 4M process change occurs.

New Process Development

  • Plan and manage the investment budget for newly introduced process
  • Develop new process
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions for the newly developed processes.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skill and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Statistics, Science Major field or equivalent.
  • Experience with process technology and development is a plus
  • Experience with Battery manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Six Sigma and IATF Certifications is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Minitab or similar programs with strong data analysis skills.
