Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
This position will support IoT device operation activities for Continuous Diagnostics & Targeted Diagnostics projects in the Americas. This person will collaborate with Corporate business unit operations teams to achieve standardized processes in all regions.

This position will require strong Excel data analysis skills to troubleshoot device operational issues.

SCOPE
Evaluate IoT product solution performance and become expert to develop, Improve, and transfer operational SOPs related to digital product device conditioning, repair, deployment, collections, and other operational tasks needed to support IoT solutions to Corporate Supply Chain.

MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Digital Device Management and Control
• Full understanding of digital devices operational and physical specifications. 
• Full understanding of processes, systems and apps used for managing devices during its life cycle.
• Full understanding of operations, like but not limited to inspection, repair, training, shipping & receiving, quality, and inventory management.

Large Scale Digital Device Implementation
• Contribute to the development and testing of SOPs, systems, and apps to provide solutions for large scale implementation. Solutions like but not limited to; inventory management, quality control, process efficiency, and others that will optimize physical device operational needs.
• Ensure Corporate Digital operation processes and other activities are standardized and efficient to support large scale implementations.
• Work with Edge team and others to ensure product offerings are scalable.

Operations Process and Control (SOP)
• Support Corporate business unit teams in the execution of IoT product solutions in each region assigned.
• Develop or maintain SOPs when next gen devices or new solutions become available.
• Develop and foster partnership with BU Operations to transfer technology by providing SOPs and training to support digital solution implementations.
• Confirm compliance of SOPs by performing follow ups with BU operations and audits.

Zero Harm
Ensure all operations and activities follow Zero Harm framework. 

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Creating SOPs and/or One Point Lessons (OPLs) to give guidance to the Ops Team for any new Scan App releases, new Device Types, Wi-Fi validation in new Ops Rooms, processes for digital device maintenance and/or digital device circulation, firmware releases, and digital device Physical Inventory processes
  • Communicating new changes which affect the day-to-day operations within the Ops Rooms to the teams and accommodating the teams with SOPs/OPLs as needed. Communications must meet the needs of the global business and the regional (Americas) business
  • Monitoring the status of Wi-Fi communications within the Ops Rooms. Communicating failures with the support team and aiding in any troubleshooting actions
  • Liaising with the Support Team in order to resolve any issues related to the BRIX platform, Scan App, or digital devices, including the Wi-Fi connectivity within Ops Rooms
  • Performing root-cause analysis of device performance and behavior and providing feedback to various teams for support on device design decisions, and supporting testing for any newly created generation of devices that are scheduled for deployment to Ops Rooms
  • Support testing of newly manufactured generations of digital devices
  • Perform regression testing of newly manufactured generations of digital devices
  • Generate feedback based on observations to support the Continuous Improvement for the Ultra device model, BRIX platform, or any future devices related to Digital Operations activities
  • Propose changes to device hardware, software, the BRIX platform, Scan App, etc. in the service of Continuous Improvement practices related to Asset Digitization
  • Cross-functional collaboration with digital teams in support of Continuous Improvement activities related to digital devices, BRIX Platform, Scan App, etc.
  • Support the Validation of new Ops Rooms Wi-Fi by collecting the data for digital devices and performing analysis in Excel of device performance to certify the Ops Rooms for production usage
  • Support in training activities related to new SOPs, digital device behavior, device deployment, etc. (e.g. Train the Trainer activities). Provide support during hand-off to Digital Readiness Team
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) related to changes on the Scan App, digital device behavior, new firmware releases, and new feature releases related to the digital devices or Digital Ops rooms
  • Define UAT activities prior to the go-live date and manage the execution of the UAT processes
  • Provide advice to the Digital Readiness Team (DRT) on device inventory and device deployments
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for digital device behavior
  • Aid in the organization and standardization of Ops Rooms

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Maintain a suite of python-based tools related to data-capture via BRIX API, and data analysis
  • Create new tools and dashboards in Trino SQL, Python which aid in the investigation of device behavior, or aid in the management of digital devices
  • Maintain and develop new features related to the nrf9160DK for the purposes of investigating cellular connectivity (Python required)
  • Perform analyses of raw device data in order to determine device performance
  • Understand changes to the BRIX architecture, and anticipate process changes which may occur as a result

MEASURES
• Become SME for Digital Solutions rolled out in the Americas.
• Number of new IoT product features, devices, solutions supported during development, testing, or rollout in assigned regions
• SOP development and rollout that results in self-sufficient and large-scale implementations.
• Able to provide technical advice and SOP training to Corporate Businesses.
• Work is performed within Zero Harm framework.

AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING
• Manage and support activities related to deployment of digital assets 

TRAVEL
• Must be willing to travel to support Digital Operation’s activities up to 20% travel. Must be able to travel Internationally if needed.

Internal: Operations & Hardware teams, Supply Chain Operations teams, Supply Chain Finance teams and Digitization stakeholders

External: Supply chain/logistics 3PLs

QUALIFICATIONS
• Technical degree with experience in engineering, operations, manufacturing, or other equivalent experience. 
• Strong data analysis experience – this position will require data analysis to troubleshoot device operational issues.
• Strong Excel skills using pivot tables and other advanced functions. 
• Experience in process development, implementation, and improvement. 
• Experience with SOPs and training to SOPs.
• Be self-driven and communicate effectively in a remote work environment
• Proven history of supporting people/team both remotely and in person.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience using tools like Python, Trino SQL, SQL Lab,  BRIX Platforms, Coupa, Jira, Sharepoint, Microsoft Excel, PySpark, Microsoft Suite Tools, SOPs, OPLs, Statistical Analysis, Familiarity with ESP32, Cisco Meraki, Boolean logic

EXPERIENCE
• 4+ year’s in operation role or operation support role
• 2+ year’s in roles that required data analysis using software like Excel or other data analysis tools
• 2+ years in roles that required development and implementation of SOPs. 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Strong data analytical skills
• Proven technical skills related to process and equipment deployment, testing, and problem solving. 
• Computer: Microsoft office, must be able to demonstrate experience with Microsoft Excel.
