The Process Engineer II/III/Senior plays a key role in supporting operations at Genezen’s gene therapy clinical/commercial manufacturing facility and will provide operational support to all development, clinical, and commercial operations groups including MFG, FAC, QC, SC, and PD. The incumbent will provide a variety of support services including equipment performance evaluation, troubleshooting, procedure development, process and equipment monitoring, validation / qualification, and leadership to projects of varying size and scope dependent upon level of experience.
- Provides operational and/or technical support to development, clinical, and commercial operations groups including MFG, FAC, QC, SC, and PD., utilizing data analysis to evaluate multiple variables.
- Develops solutions to problems of varying complexity dependent upon experience level, using ingenuity and innovation, to ensure solutions are consistent with overall organization objectives. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Supports specification, design, testing, and implementation of single use manufacturing systems.
- Supports projects to modify / improve equipment, facilities and / or process controls with little supervisory oversight.
- Provides technical input for product tech transfers, evaluation of process requirements versus facility capabilities.
- Provides technical support and analysis for the resolution of deviations, investigations, and process issues.
- Develops department procedures and specifications
- Drives or supports depending upon experience level, key equipment, control system, and facility improvement projects, providing oversight of design, construction, testing, and turnover with responsibility for schedule, budget, and overall project performance.
