The Process Engineer I will be responsible for optimizing industrial processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards, and contributing to the organization's overall profitability.

Responsabilities
- Provide and maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety programs, committees, conducting safety audits, and complying with all plant safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Follow all company policies and procedures pertaining to ISO 22716—Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) guidelines for cosmetics.
- Collaborate with plant staff to assess processes, take measurements, interpret data and make recommendations.
- Analyze production data to determine opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and train plant staff on best practices, job aids and standardized processing methods to improve safe work habits and repeatability of processing.
- Conduct risk assessments to mitigate operational hazards.
- Generate process documentation, PDF and P&IDs and operating instructions as needed.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of all production lines, both existing and new.
- Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot any process upset.
- Support implementation of Site Master Plan (SMP) for site CAPEX investment strategy.
- Draft, review, and approve standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- 0 – 3 years of work experience in process engineering, preferably in a chemical plant
- Knowledge of process related standards and best practices.
- Proficiency in CAD or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with process simulations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in process engineering software (e.g., Aspen).
- Strong technical acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for handling equipment, bend, stoop, and reach.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to wear a respirator as required.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

The pay range for this role is $65,000 to $105,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis, and will vary based on the candidate’s skills, depth of experience and specific work location.
