As a Principal Technical Program Manager in CIP Payments Technology, you will lead complex, multi-functional technology projects and programs that will impact experiences for multiple groups across the firm, including clients, employees, and stakeholders. Your advanced analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to break down business, technical, and operational objectives into manageable tasks, while navigating through ambiguity and driving change. The LATAM Stability and Resiliency & TII Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the Stability and Resiliency (S&R) environment across the LATAM region. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and collaboration with various departments to implement best practices in reliability engineering, testing integration, and implementation. The role ensures alignment with global standards, drives regional initiatives, and promotes collaboration with global teams to address regional challenges.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic technical program plans, aligning with organizational goals and cross-functional collaboration
- Oversee complex technology project and program execution, managing resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, providing direction and defining decision-making procedures for beneficial outcomes
- Guide the selection and implementation of appropriate technologies, platforms and software tools leveraging advanced technical fluency
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities, incorporating best practices, and staying abreast of emerging technologies
- D efine and oversee the strategic direction for S&R across the LATAM region, ensuring alignment with global standards, and develop and implement regional OKRs/KPIs aligned with global objectives to manage for results.
- Ensure periodic S&R governance forums across the region with global engagement, assure the adoption of global standards by the region, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining open communication channels with regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Inspire and lead cross-functional teams to deliver durable and resilient products and services, coach and mentor team members on best practices in reliability engineering and testing integration, and collaborate with global teams to address regional challenges and promote a culture of continuous innovation.
- Lead the testing strategy for clients and internal testing, accelerating automation adoption, ensure S&R readiness and preparedness for new products and changes, and develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy to ensure thorough coverage for all changes, minimizing risks and enhancing system reliability.
- Drive automation initiatives, creating regional capacity for automation in domestic platforms, partner with Global SRE and TII to leverage global automation solutions for LATAM, and implement monitoring and alerting automation for domestic platforms.
- Engage stakeholders to support S&R in the region and represent S&R in Payments LATAM Management meetings, work closely with country heads to understand client experiences and address challenges, and develop investment plans and business cases to support S&R improvements.
- Ensure comprehensive production management coverage for all Payments LATAM platforms, providing 24/7 support as needed, enhance incident data quality by investing in S&R LATAM education and establishing a robust metrics baseline, and issue a monthly S&R LATAM Dashboard to provide transparent insights into stability KPIs and S&R metrics.
- Conduct thorough reviews of regulatory Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure full compliance with current regulatory requirements in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10+ years of experience in Payments business, LATAM senior regional roles, testing integration and implementation, stability and resilience, including leading large platforms; Equivalent years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations
- Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics; Demonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and implementing solutions.
- Experience in leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technological issues.
- Proven ability to influence and drive change within complex, matrix organizations; Proven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments.
- Ability to liaise effectively between lines of business with empathy and understanding to achieve the common and strategic goal as a team; Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objectives.
- Collaboratively contributes to program updates, Project and team meetings.
- Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
- Promotes an inclusive work environment, respects individuals at every level.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
