Summary
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for product definition, product verification and strategic customer support within Allegro's Power Integrated Circuit (PIC) product lines.
You will work closely with Allegro system, design and test engineers, marketing personnel, field application, and with industry leading customers to:

Develop specifications, product architectures and product algorithms required to penetrate target regulator and lighting markets.

Support and contribute Marketing team to create and update Lighting products roadmap

Verify proper performance of Allegro Power ICs through applications based testing in the laboratory.

Contribute to the generation of datasheets, applications reports and reference designs required to secure major design wins.

Collaborate with Product Engineering to develop final test strategies that ensure proper operation of our power ICs in end customer applications.

Collaborate with Safety Engineering and Quality Engineering to devise and verify key elements of Power IC architectures.

Mentor and supervise junior and senior Systems Engineers
Requirements:
-
BSEE or advanced degree in Electronic Engineering
-
8+ years of years of Industry experience in Power converter Application or Power IC Design, with experience in Automotive Lighting products.

Solid understand of PMIC and/or Switching regulator topologies, EMI mitigation techniques, PCB layout, bench testing and familiarity with mixed signal semiconductors
-
Knowledge of MATLAB/SimuLink, SIMPLIS/SIMetrix, LabVIEW, and switch mode power conversion and PCB layout experience is preferred.

Electronics laboratory experience using a variety of tools and test methodologies.

Strong interpersonal and English communication skills as a technical leader of the team.

Ability to make clear technical presentations both to external Allegro customers and to Allegro's Senior Management Staff.
Our customer base is globally diversified and this position could involves national and international travel.
