Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts in the Land & Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) Business Area to support the rapidly growing Medium Range Air Defense (MRAD) program area including DoD, Foreign Military (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) opportunities. What You Will Do

Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies.

Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships

Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration

Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly

Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise
-
Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks

Some domestic and international (Europe) travel as required (approximately once per quarter)
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience

Experience supporting U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) clauses

Experience working for a contractor providing support to contract negotiations for the delivery of defense articles, programs, and/or services to U.S. Government or foreign customers

Experience with export compliance requirements such as International Traffic in Arms Regulations/ Export Administration Regulations (ITAR/EAR,) Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), and/or Manufacturing Licensing Agreements (MLA)

Experience working with other business partners, i.e. Program Management, General Counsel, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Development, Program Finance, Estimating and Pricing, and/or Accounting

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
