Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to work as a part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the continued development and delivery of capabilities. The integrated product team will include a mix of Government and contractor staff. Development and deployment support will include geospatial Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS), Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) or a combination of the above capabilities. The capabilities may be already deployed within the NSG or may be developed under this effort. May be required to support application transformation through application re-hosting, application modernization, or deployment of designed applications, as directed by the Government.
Responsibilities:
- Use modern development practices, including Agile and DevSecOps for automation, pipelines, tools, metrics, Continuous Integration (CI), and CI/Continuous Delivery (CD) to increase the rate of newly fielded mission capabilities delivered to the warfighter
- Develop software, build application interfaces, and perform configurations to integrate COTS software or Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) software to provide the necessary software functionality required
- Conduct software development in coordination with the needs and availability of the effort platforms/sites
- Provide full operational and system documentation of all developed software
- Integrate hardware and software
