Job Summary:
Join the forefront of mission-critical systems as a Principal Python/SDR Software Engineer. This role focuses on designing and evolving robust applications in a Linux environment while integrating DevSecOps practices. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git, as well as a deep understanding of RF signals—particularly satellite-related technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- SDR Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain software-defined radio applications using Python, with frameworks like GNU Radio and REDHAWK.
- Kubernetes & Helm: Deploy and manage scalable services using Kubernetes and Helm for effective orchestration.
- DevSecOps Integration: Collaborate to embed security practices throughout development, including automated testing and threat modeling.
- Streamlined CI/CD: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable, efficient software delivery.
- Containerization Mastery: Leverage Docker to create consistent development, testing, and production environments.
- Signal Expertise: Apply RF signal knowledge, particularly satellite signals, to optimize SDR application design.
- Team Collaboration & Documentation: Work with product management, QA, and operations while maintaining clear documentation to ensure best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and 20 or more years of directly related experience. In lieu of bachelors degree an additional 4 years of experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Proficiency in Python for Linux-based software development.
- Kubernetes Knowledge/Development

- Clearance Required: Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
