Pr Product Manager owns the product roadmap across market/product lines which aims to improve business results around revenue growth, cost control/reduction and product gaps.
Responsible for the design and implementation of new products within existing and new market/product lines. Ensures ongoing product efficiencies that may include product iterations, enhancements, lifecycle planning, product roadmap, performance managing and enabling product growth within segments and across the business.
Size and scope of market/product line will factor into leveling.
A Day in the Life:
- Acts as voice of customer and evaluates existing products and competitor and industry data to improve existing market/product lines and make recommendations on new opportunities.
- Ensure presentations, communications, and implementation of all phases of product development are being done
- Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations on actions for existing products.
- Investigates market opportunities and effect on market for existing and new products.
- Engage with Product Owners to help develop short-term and long-term Market/Product Strategy Roadmaps
- Determines customer needs and preferences through research and analysis of industry technology, current processes, and other methods.
- Responsible for supporting the Product Lifecycle Management process to monitor product performance (clinical, financial, and operational) across all markets, as well as a competitive analysis research for benefits, market and regional data and trends.
- Supports the development of short- and long-term strategic product promotions in support of market, sales, and profitability objectives.
- Establishes product development policies.
- Actively look for opportunities to create product innovation
- Accountable for highlighting strategic capabilities for Product/Business line and tracking current state vs future vision for the capability (Leading, Above Market, Market, Below Market & Missing).
- Provide input into funding needs to create, support or accelerate Market/Product line strategic growth or cost control outcomes.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business, technical degree or a relevant field
- Previous leadership experience
- Health or managed care experience
- MBA or equivalent education/certifications
- One of the following certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), SAFe PM/PO, Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPMA) or LeSS
Required Skills & Experiences:
- 7+ years of Product Management and/or Product Ownership experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- Aptitude for independent strategic thinking as well as the ability to identify, leverage, and execute best practices while demonstrating a continuously innovative mindset.
- Critical strategic thinker / problem solver willing to take initiative with minimal direction.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and executive presence.
- Proven strategic product development ability
- Exceptional written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties highly preferred.
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Previous experience in product development or product management role
Note: The Product Manager role is more strategic in the organization and will be fewer of them supporting the organization. This role is key to providing strategic direction across multiple teams or strategic initiatives. We expect more Product Owners across the organization responsible for helping focus on product specific strategy and enabling delivery of key outcomes.

Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
