TECHNOLOGY ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
KKR’s Technology team is responsible for building and supporting the firm’s technological foundation including a globally distributed infrastructure, information security, and the application and data platforms. The team drives a culture of technology excellence across the firm through efficient workflow automation, democratization of data through modern data and collaboration platforms, and more recently through research and development of Generative AI based tools and services. Technology is regarded as a key business enabler at KKR and is an important accelerator to drive towards global scale creation and business process transformation. A dedicated Program Management function along with the Product Managers drive execution discipline across multiple technology teams with a goal to consistently deliver excellence serving our business needs. The Technology team consists of highly technical and business centric technologists with the ability to form strong partnerships across all of our businesses.
TEAM OVERVIEW
The Client Lifecycle Product team, part of KKR’s Technology organization, develops technology solutions for clients and KKR teams with the objective to deliver exceptional experiences, enable firm growth, and mitigate firm risks. It collaborates closely with the Client Operations, Sales, Product Strategy, and other Technology teams, as well as Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, and Marketing.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager with deep expertise in Salesforce and CRM platforms to own and drive our CRM product strategy, roadmap, and development. This role will work cross-functionally to align product direction with both business goals and user needs, delivering impactful CRM solutions for the Sales, Product Strategy, Client Operations, and Marketing teams. As a domain expert, the ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, strong relationship-building skills, and a talent for fostering innovation and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop a comprehensive CRM product strategy, roadmap, and OKRs aligned with the firm’s goals to drive measurable impact. Continuously refine the roadmap by identifying market trends and adapting to evolving CRM and business needs, enhancing sales effectiveness and client engagement.
- Product Leadership: Oversee a team of product managers responsible for tailored CRM tools for specific user segments. Ensure the team’s accountability for the full product lifecycle of their products—including strategy, execution, launch, and iterative improvements—while maintaining a consistent user experience and connectivity within the CRM ecosystem and client lifecycle.
- Domain Expertise: Act as the go-to expert for CRM solutions within the organization, providing insights and innovative solutions for the Sales, Product Strategy, Client Operations, and Marketing domains.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Lead buy vs. build assessments, select the right partners, and manage ongoing vendor relationships to ensure high-quality product solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, gaining buy-in and ensuring alignment across the organization on product vision, priorities, and timelines. Partner with Sales, Product Strategy, Client Operations, Marketing, Engineering, and other product teams to refine product requirements, gather user feedback, and align CRM tools with strategic goals.
- Platform-Mindset: Ensure product decisions are in line with the broader Client Lifecycle Product and Technology vision, focusing on interoperability and scalability across teams and tools.
- Technology and Company-Wide Contribution: Actively contribute to Technology and company-wide priorities, offering input beyond the immediate product role to support broader company objectives and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strategic Product Ownership: 7+ years of product management experience, ideally with CRM platforms and Salesforce expertise. Demonstrated ability to create and execute a product strategy and roadmap that align with strategic goals and customer needs, with a strong emphasis on cost-effective technology ownership and industry best practices.
- Customer-Centric Design: Strong understanding of CRM “customer” personas and how to implement feedback loops to continuously improve the CRM product experience based on real “customer” insights.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Deep analytical experience in evaluating product performance and making informed decisions that drive impact.
- Excellence in Delivery: Track record of maintaining high standards of efficiency, quality, and “customer” satisfaction, establishing best practices across the CRM product domain.
- Exceptional Communication & Influence: Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, align on product requirements, and engage senior stakeholders with clarity and strategic impact.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with advanced CRM functionalities, including custom configurations, workflow automation, and integrations.
- Valuable Experience: Experience in sales, fundraising, and client relationship management across institutional, family capital, and private wealth clients within the asset management alternatives space is a plus.

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
Base Salary Range
$150,000—$200,000 USD
