We are looking for a Principal Procurement Analyst  to join our Procurement Team in the heart of buzzing Berlin!

As a Principal Procurement Analyst you report directly to the Head of Procurement. You will use your skills and experiences to further professionalize our young Procurement team and ensure the smooth functioning of procurement operations, accurate data management, and enhancements to the procurement systems landscape. The Procurement Analyst also provides operational support to strategic sourcing initiatives, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery.

You will:

  • Shape and build the next level of Procurement at Babbel together with your Procurement colleagues and the relevant stakeholders.
  • Shape, improve and maintain the procurement systems and data landscape, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Manage cross-functional interfaces for data, insights and actions on operational and team levels.
  • Collaborate with the Sourcing Manager and Head of Procurement on sourcing projects and supplier management tasks. In coordination, take on spend optimization projects and manage through.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational procurement tasks, including purchase order processing, system maintenance, and compliance checks.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, generate insights, and support decision-making.
  • Provide training and support for internal stakeholders on procurement systems (Workday) and processes.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

You have:

  • A degree (Bachelor or Master) in Business Administration, Management or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement or a related field. Experience gained in a Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”) environment is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in relevant data tools and systems (e.g., Tableau, Google Sheets., Workday).
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of ERP and Procurement systems and best practices paired with enthusiasm to pragmatically improve the status quo.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders, ensuring procurement is seen as a value-adding partner.
  • Data driven self-starter who likes to move things forward independently
  • Ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and deadlines as part of an international team
  • High service-orientation, reliability, and with excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
  • The ambition to shape and further improve our Procurement practices.
  • The ability to use core procurement skills independently and self-assured.
  • The ability to transfer theoretical knowledge to our business needs.
  • Business fluency in German and English (verbally and in writing).
