Job Description:
What You'll Do
Join the Digital Campaign & Data Enablement Product Area. In this role you will serve as enterprise subject matter expert for the operational processes related to Consumer Data Privacy Laws across the US and Europe, e.g. CPRA, CCPA, GDPR, as well as FTC's Affiliate Disclosure Rules. Key focus will be to ensure adherence to applicable compliance regulations and laws for the impacted processes as well as continuously refining standards to reduce issues and risks through process simplification, training and technology/monitoring improvements across the enterprise.
Responsible for establishing an integrated framework for managing risk through the discipline of "Knowing your Processes". Primarily responsible for establishing standards and oversight for Process Leaders/Owners to truly know their processes, their risks, and the associated control environment. Develops requirements for executing Process Management within the Risk Management system-of-record. Promotes a process management mindset to support the effective management of risk. Partners with Change Management, Issue Management, Enterprise Risk Testing, and Corporate Risk Management (CRM) teams to ensure cross-functional alignment. Enables prioritization of process management activity across business units through a risk-based lens. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
How You'll Do It

  • Serve as enterprise subject matter expert for compliance regulations and laws (Consumer Data Privacy Laws across the US including CPRA & CCPA, GDPR, FTC's Affiliate Disclosure Rules).
  • Ensures development and maintenance of Process Inventory across the enterprise, and the associated Process Taxonomy
  • Provide strategic recommendations for flawless execution of communication through channels to help achieve both business objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide complete and accurate information for foundational required data inputs. Ensure complete and accurate risk and control information
  • Ensure complete and accurate risk and control information. Coordinate proper facilitation to ensure RAU owner understands RCSA requirements in workshops
  • Ensures Process Management integration with various risk assessments, including the integration with Risk Assessable Units (RAUs)
  • Develops methods, tools, training and job aids to "Know your Processes" and to monitor risks and controls
  • Ensure maintenance of process inventory across the enterprise by identifying gaps in documentation.
  • Complete risk and control assessments and provide rationale information. Identify and document new issues relating to control gaps or less than effective controls.
  • Empowers Process Management professionals to demonstrate Discover Behaviors and advance the principles and practices of sound risk management.
  • Understand impact on upstream and downstream processes for full picture view.
  • Responsible for adhering to controls standards through the development of effective monitoring and controls.
  • Responsible for all monitoring and reporting.
  • Partner with Analytics, Business Technology, Third-Party Vendor Partners, Digital Marketing, Product Owners.
  • Own issues and operational incident tied to applicable compliance regulations and laws.
  • Assist with the development of future state design. Partners with Product Owners on business requirements, architectural design, and development work.
  • Ensure standardization across the enterprise.
  • Develop methods, tools, training, and job aids to establish Governance and Center of Excellence for Discover communications.
  • Partner with business technology to understand the functionality of technical functions that support the process including system components and infrastructure.
  • Interacts with senior executives, governance committees and regulatory agencies to provide (both orally and written) risk management reporting, analytics and findings in a complete and concise manner


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration & Management, Engineering, Statistics or related
  • 4+ years of experience in Risk Management, Change Management, Continuous Improvement, Process Management, Engineering
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Risk Management, Continuous Improvement, Strategic Change Management, Training, Development, or related field


Physical & Cognitive Requirements

  • Primarily remain in a stationary position.
  • Occasionally move about the work environment to complete the major responsibilities of the job.
  • Primarily performed indoors in an office setting.
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as but not limited to computer, telephone, printer, and calculator.
  • Ability to communicate verbally.; Ability to communicate in written form.


Bonus Points If You Have

  • Master's in Business Administration and Management, Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Consumer Finance, Engineering or Consulting
  • Digital Marketing Experience with knowledge in compliance
  • Program Management, Lean Six Sigma and/or Agile Framework experience

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
