A Day in the LifeThe person in this role may follow a hybrid schedule, working three days per week from one of the Medtronic facilities listed below, and two days per week remotely (from home). Work locations include:

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in SAP Procure to Pay (P2P) processes to join our dynamic IT delivery team. This role will focus on end-to-end P2P lifecycle management, encompassing electronic invoicing for both Accounts Receivable (AR e-billing) and Accounts Payable (AP invoice), integration of cutting-edge solutions such as ReadSoft OpenText, Kofax, SAP Document Repository Compliance, Concur, and Treasury Intelligence System (TIS). The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SAP ECC and S/4HANA, extensive experience in complex e-billing integrations (in multiple countries/regions) to ensure seamless financial operations and tax reporting and strong P2P SAP Procure to Pay processes.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for SAP Procure to Pay processes, providing in-depth technical and functional expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance and tax) to align IT solutions with business needs and goals.
  • Design and implement P2P solutions, focusing on automation and compliance.
  • Configure and optimize tools like ReadSoft OpenText, Kofax, and SAP Document Repository Compliance.
  • Ensure seamless integration with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and external systems like TIS and Concur.
  • Lead the implementation of global e-Invoicing solutions, ensuring adherence to global tax and compliance standards.
  • Optimize AP workflows using tools such as ReadSoft and Kofax.
  • Develop and maintain bank integrations for payments, reconciliations, and cash management.
  • Ensure successful integration with Treasury Intelligence System (TIS) for treasury operations.
  • Support compliance through SAP Document Repository and ensure regulatory alignment.
  • Provide expert-level support for P2P processes, troubleshooting issues, and delivering enhancements.
  • Conduct regular system reviews, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Drive end-to-end project delivery for P2P initiatives.
  • Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are met.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 12+ years of experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience or advanced degree and 5+ years of experience

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Expertise in SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and its integration with tools like ReadSoft, Kofax, Concur, and TIS.
  • Strong knowledge and experience implementing of e-billing/electronic invoicing integration solutions and tax/reporting compliance. Proficiency in SAP Finance and Sales / Billing modules for e-billing integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of bank integrations, AP automation, and treasury operations.
  • Proficiency in configuring SAP P2P modules and integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Document Repository Compliance.
  • Strong understanding of financial workflows and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$116,000.00 - $174,000.00

    This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

    The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

    The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

     

    The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

     

    Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
