You will be a contributing member of the detection and response team and will work on maturing and streamlining processes and the program. An Information Security Protection Specialist is responsible for the protection of Roblox's intellectual property, trade secrets and confidential information. This role will conduct both proactive and reactive investigations and actively address internal and external threats to Roblox's equities.
You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical experience, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an investigator with local, state or federal law enforcement or intelligence community and/or equivalent time spent in a corporate security environment
- Experience in conducting and coordinating complex, global, investigations is required
- Knowledge of relevant regulations such as DTSA
- Demonstrated knowledge of investigation strategies applying technical forensic capabilities and data to include incident response and network analysis using tools such as a SIEM, EDR, NIDS, DLP
- Proven track record managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and focusing on critical priorities with minimal supervision in a high-speed environment
- Demonstrated experience of regular communication at executive level within a global environment
- The highest level of integrity and honesty and the ability to protect sensitive confidential information
You Will:
- Information Security Protection Specialists are responsible for the protection of Roblox's intellectual property, trade secrets and confidential information
- This role will conduct both proactive and reactive investigations and actively address internal and external threats to Roblox's equities
- Collection of on-the-ground information both within and beyond the Roblox walls in priority locations in order to protect the company from threats
- Partner with Legal and Human Resources and other investigative/analysis functions across the company to ensure accurate completion of investigations
- Advise the company on the findings of investigations and liaise with law enforcement and outside counsel as necessary
- Conduct highly sensitive, complex, and confidential investigations into incidents of data loss and intellectual property theft, technology misuse, and conflict of interest
- Collaborate with technical forensic investigators to integrate technical and human investigations into one high efficiency function
- Participate in incident response activities
- Be a member of a team of investigators to identify, exploits, disrupts, or protection against any undermining of Roblox's business operations
- Will be required to solve complex problems with data from multiple sources and make recommendations to leadership on the appropriate strategy
- Analyze behavioral indicators and data patterns to identify potential risks
- Conduct investigations of suspected IP theft or policy violations
- Develop metrics around monitoring, detection, response, and forecasting
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$261,160-$308,410 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
