Job Description:
•Implement and optimize network protocols, including TCP, IP, UDP, and related protocols on embedded platform.
•Responsible for driving the IPv6 Certification of Harmony TCP/IP Stack on Microcontroller devices.
•Create and maintain low level Ethernet MAC and PHY driver for various Microcontroller device families
•Diagnose and resolve complex network issues , providing support to other teams as needed.
•Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate the Harmony TCP/IP stack with other system components.
•Responsible for automating the testing of Harmony TCP/IP Stack applications
•Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the development team.
•Conduct thorough code reviews and implement rigorous testing procedures to ensure code quality and performance.
•Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the TCP/IP stack.
•Responsible for providing technical guidance to the junior team members
Requirements/Qualifications:
•Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics, Computer science or other related fields
•10+ years of experience in Firmware and Software Development.
•Good knowledge of Microcontrollers and its Peripherals is a must
•Proficiency in C/C++, Python programming.
•Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP, IP, UDP, HTTP, SNMP etc.).
•Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
•Familiarity with Harmony framework and Microchip development tools.
•Experience in Industrial Control Systems such as EtherCat
•Strong working knowledge of hardware/software debug and Lab equipment, e.g., Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer (any protocol)
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Must be highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
•Experience with full software lifecycle
•Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Jira etc.
