Job Description:
What You'll Do
Working as part of the Emerging Talent Acquisition & Development (ETAD) team, this role is responsible for supporting the development and learning of early careers talent as part of a structured development program. This role will work with their peers to deliver a consistent, high caliber program experience for participants, leading to rapid development and ideally, early promotion.
This individual will advise the business on talent management and talent development; specifically, workforce planning and managing participant development through learning curriculum, experiential training, performance management, and coaching. They will leverage business managers and teams in roles that support the recruiting and development of talent. Successful individuals will develop strong relationships with program participants, performance managers, chiefs of staff, HR consultants and be sought for guidance and best practice solutions.
How You'll Do It
Talent Planning and Development:

  • Develop hiring and development plans for early careers program participants within assigned business unit(s).
  • Partner with Learning Manager to ensure proper representation of development needs are incorporated in Learning Journey.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the post program process.
  • Train and support participant performance managers to ensure necessary tools are available for successful management of program participants.
  • Create opportunities for participant engagement and provide deeper connection to Discover's culture and behaviors.
  • Support talent planning and project identification and matching for summer internship program.


Business Consulting and Engagement:

  • Collaborate with participant managers and Chiefs of Staff, ensuring consistent communication and status of programs.
  • Partner closely with Chiefs of Staff for assigned business unit(s) to stay aligned on project rotation needs and placements.


Operational Effectiveness and Performance:

  • Identify opportunities to create consistencies across ETAD programs and document process to ensure continued alignment.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline project matching process and enhance experience for program participants and managers.


Contribute to Emerging Talent Projects:

  • Actively participate in, and potentially lead, cross-functional project teams which might include internship programs, early identification programs, or learning summits.


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelors in Business Administration and Management, Human Resources, or related
  • 8+ years of professional work experience required in program management, campus recruiting, HR or related field.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
