We are seeking an outstanding Principal Platform Engineer to join our multi-year Digital Transformation Program. In this role, you will work within the Digital Customer Crew to achieve an ambitious vision: to meet customer objectives by delivering unparalleled digital experiences. These experiences are built on a foundation of decoupled, resilient, and reliable technology. By leveraging Salesforce Core and Marketing Cloud, we deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that serve business and institutional customers.

  As a Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within our team. You’ll bring your expertise in technology and Digital knowledge to define technical strategies and design innovative solutions for complex challenges within a business unit. Your approach will integrate a strong focus on risk management and security from the earliest stages of development. Additionally, you’ll mentor and guide engineers, fostering excellence in their craft and enabling them to deliver world-class applications.

We’re interested in hearing from people who: 

• Will shape the future of our digital platform - Design, develop, and deploy innovative technology solutions to build tomorrow's bank today.

• Have technical expertise with AWS, Salesforce (Core, Financial Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud), and system engineering (Restful APIs, Kafkas streaming, payload/protocol transformation and orchestration using tools and frameworks such as Mulesoft, Boomi, Camel, Temporal, Flink, etc ).

• Leadership and mentoring: Lead engineers in implementing complex technical solutions, provide technical assistance, and ensure cyber security controls are in place.

• Use skills to lead our engineers in implementing complex technical solutions in a SaaS and cloud-based environment. You’ll possess a strong risk mindset in ensuring that appropriate cyber security controls are implemented and play a significant mentoring role in providing technical assistance to the engineers in the team.

• Have experience with DevSecOps, addressing technical debt with a commercially focused approach, and identifying and executing technical direction and strategy.

• Use Innovative problem-solving and leadership skill - Design and implement solutions to complex problems, encourage risk-taking, and build diverse and inclusive teams while influencing stakeholders.

Skills Required:

• Experience with Salesforce Core, Marketing Cloud, and a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks, including Java, Python, React, Redux, and Angular.

• Thorough understanding of large-scale distributed systems, solution design, and architecture principles, with ability to design solutions that meet high quality standards.

• Experience with building scalable and efficient applications on cloud platforms using AWS, with expertise in microservices design, APIs, and database management (SQL and NoSQL).

• Expertise in setting up DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring tools, including GitHub, GitHub Actions, and SonarQube, as well as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).

• Ability to mentor and coach other engineers in the use of Full Stack, Salesforce Core, and Marketing Cloud to deliver world-class applications, with experience in configuration management and containerisation.
