Principal Data Analyst, Marketing Analytics

As a Principal Data Analyst in Marketing Analytics, you'll analyze marketing campaigns from activity to revenue conversion. You will work with large datasets to develop models and algorithms that provide business solutions. Your expertise in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and advanced analytics will help optimize campaigns and offer actionable insights. This role involves collaborating with global and regional stakeholders, using data to drive decisions in the fast-paced B2B software industry.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Routinely perform analysis and insight into key metrics and provide recommendations for improving performance in critical campaign areas and throughout the marketing funnel
  • Lead the deployment and optimization of predictive models to improve omnichannel mix accuracy, campaign completeness, and predict personal behaviors in a complex marketing environment.
  • Proactively work with all levels of marketing staff to understand and establish goals, determine required data sources and establish marketing benchmarks and metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute model deployment and continuously improve model performance
  • Development and management of reports and dashboards that provide actionable metrics used to optimize and drive marketing decisions
  • Be the subject matter expert and provide recommendations of best practices related to PTC marketing initiatives
  • Provide ongoing training to marketing teams on the use of analytics dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Be an advocate for data-driven everything, evangelize insights on what’s working and what’s not working to help drive incremental gains in pipeline and revenue

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in marketing analytics, with at least 1 year in marketing operations
  • A strong background in marketing, analytics or mathematics

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Expertise in tools: Salesforce (SFDC), Eloqua, Qlik, Power BI, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Looker Studio, and BigQuery
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R (or other statistical tools), and experience with data lakes (i.e. Snowflake), ETL tools, and data management platforms
  • Advanced experience with predictive modeling, statistical analysis, multivariate testing, data standardization, and normalization
  • Experience with tactical modeling and statistical forecast adjustments to adapt to changing business landscapes
  • A deep understanding of complex systems and dependencies within marketing operations and the ability to deliver insights that improve overall marketing outcomes.
  • Strong ability to connect disparate marketing touchpoints and data sources across channels to illustrate the full customer journey and its impact on the bottom line
  • Strong data evaluation skills with the ability to extract, interpret, and synthesize data from multiple sources, while focusing on actionable, high-level insights.
  • Capable of leading discussions around marketing initiatives and analysis, with a focus on continuous improvement
