Role Overview
We are looking for a Retail Consulting Principal with vast experience in the retail industry and exceptional leadership and management skills. You will advise clients on data-driven retail strategies to achieve strategic, financial, and operational goals. Your role will involve providing innovative solutions and driving impactful change within the retail space.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth analysis to understand the retail industry landscape and clients' business operations within the context of global, economic, technology, and social trends.

Develop practical roadmaps to help clients implement strategies, manage change, and monitor processes.

Lead teams from concept to implementation across omni-channel capabilities, store operations, and retail labor productivity solutions.

Mentor and manage junior consulting team members, preparing them for increased responsibilities.

Drive insights and recommendations using data models and visualization tools.
-
Build and maintain relationships with clients, establishing Fractal as a long-term trusted advisor.

Continuously enhance your expertise in retail strategy, store operations, and workforce management to reinforce Fractal’s reputation as a thought leader.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in building and launching digital products with a strong foundation in analytics and data.

Deep understanding of the retail technology landscape, including data collection, storage, and analysis tools.

Ability to translate data insights into actionable solutions for retail business operations.

Expertise in identifying and implementing AI solutions that drive retail transformation (e.g., personalization, demand forecasting).

Excellent business communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to a business audience.

Experience in developing solution roadmaps bridging business needs and technology capabilities.

Experience with AI tools or platforms relevant to the retail industry is a plus.

Demonstrated success in delivering data-driven solutions that have improved retail business metrics.
Qualifications:

Energy, drive, and personal resilience with a passion for serving clients and continuous learning.

Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for breaking down processes into logical parts and constructing clear reasoning and analyses.

Minimum of 5-7 years of product/project management experience in the Retail Industry, involving SAP Oracle Stores, Gen AI, and Retail Supply Chain.

Minimum of 3 years of consulting experience at a consulting firm or in an internal consulting role.

MBA or equivalent graduate degree.

Relevant analytics experience with skills in statistical modeling, decision analytics, forecasting, and profiling.

Authorization to work in the US without future visa sponsorship.
Pay:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $150,000 – $210,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
Benefits:
As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take the time needed for either sick time or vacation.
