The Cloud and Connectivity organization is actively looking for multiple Cloud Platform Engineers to join them to help enable Cloud operations model. What You’ll Be Doing:

You will work in our Infrastructure Hosting Platform area working on the global technical operations of cloud computing capabilities for Lilly  Additionally, you would be working as part of the larger cloud foundation team on strategy for cloud services that will be offered by Hosting and Cloud Services team.   In this role, you will work closely with various teams and customers to ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our cloud services. 

This role will have the opportunity to work with the latest public cloud IaaS servicesIn addition, this role will have the opportunity to improve our cloud infrastructure services.   Our goal is to improve all aspect of our infrastructure availability and reliability through repeatable patterns, new architectural designs, improvements in observability to prevent outages to help increase value across the organization.

  • Be Bold You will drive Infrastructure Operations to never have to fix the same problem twice through adoption of AI OPS, Event Driven Automation, and robust Observability.  
  • Be Fast - You will accelerate initiatives in areas such as: Infrastructure AI OPS automation, cloud IaaS management, and cloud infrastructure as code to enable critical business projects. 
  • Be Proactive - You will have groundbreaking chances to transform our operations processes using proactive, predictive, and automated AI & Observability capabilities. 
  • Be Your Best - You will bring a high learning agility and Infrastructure operations / engineer skills to help us enable the Lilly Technology strategy, identifying tech opportunities, and accelerate our AI OPS journey. 

 

What You Should Bring:

  • Cloud Platform Proficiency: Expertise in major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is crucial. This includes a deep understanding of cloud services, architecture, and best practices for deployment, scaling, and management.
  • Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, Ansible and familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • AI/ML Integration: Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and tools and experience in deploying and managing AI/ML models in a cloud environment. Understanding of MLOps practices is also beneficial.
  • Security and Compliance: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, compliance standards, and best practices for securing cloud environments.
  • DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment processes.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. This includes troubleshooting and optimizing cloud infrastructure
  • Technical leadership supporting enterprise grade infrastructure solutions and leading the deployment at multiple global locations.

 

 

Your Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field 
  • 7+ years in infrastructure management, focusing on multi-cloud environments, including 3+ years in cloud infrastructure. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing operations of a global large-scale Infrastructure service.   

Additional Information: 

  • Hybrid role (minimum 3 days in the office) located in Indianapolis, IN (relocation required). 
  • Expected US business hours with team afterhours support needs for evening and weekends.   
  • Less than 10% travel.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$63,750 - $180,400

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
