As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Product Platform team of Consumer, Community Banking, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.
Job responsibilities

  • Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
  • Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
  • Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design
  • Leads initiatives to remove monolithic, legacy middleware and mainframe applications.
  • Drives efforts to break down applications into smaller components.
  • Transition client applications to replacement micro services.
  • Defines target state for replacement services using domain-driven design and micro services architecture.
  • Develop a roadmap to deliver new services and deprecate non-target applications.
  • Coordinate and collaborate across all JPMC lines of business.
  • Engage with over 100 client applications for seamless integration.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in one or more programming language(s)
  • Deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines
  • Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Ability to present and effectively communicate to senior leaders and executives
  • Prior experience in Fin-tech industry is highly preferred
