The Role:
As a Principal Analytics Engineer, you will be leading data analytics strategy and implementation in alignment with overall business goals across global projects and products. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing analytics systems, solving complex technical problems, and identifying innovative solutions with minimal guidance. Your role is to deliver technical authority in analytics, with influence across multiple squads, disciplines, and projects. You will drive the adoption of best practices in data modeling, business intelligence, and performance optimization to ensure that our analytics infrastructure delivers actionable insights efficiently and at scale.
What you do - Things you need for this role:
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade analytics data models, ideally using Microsoft technology stack (Power BI)
- Proficiency in analytics visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and experience with Tabular Editor
- Experience with modern data platforms like Databricks and Delta Lake
- Outstanding programming skills using analytics-focused languages and tools, including:
- DAX, MDX, T-SQL, PySpark, Python
- Demonstrable experience working with CI/CD tools like Git, GitLab or Azure DevOps for analytics pipelines
- Proven ability to design and implement analytics architecture
- Experience optimizing query performance
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing analytics teams
- Deep understanding of analytics governance principles and experience in establishing data standards and best practices
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and executive-level interactions, with ability to translate business requirements into analytics solutions

- Experience with Azure Analysis Services
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide analytics architectures.
- Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand analytics requirements and deliver solutions that drive actionable insights.
- Develop and optimize data processing pipelines specifically for analytics use cases, ensuring efficient data preparation for reporting and analysis.
- Drive best practices and adoption of new technologies in analytics and business intelligence across the company.
- Identify and implement opportunities for performance improvements, automation, and optimization within analytics pipelines and dashboards.
- Improve data quality and governance – Design and implement processes that enhance data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with executive and technical leadership to align analytics initiatives with business strategies and demonstrate the value of data-driven decision making.
