PURPOSE

Responsible for the research, analysis, interpretation, and visualization of data related to market research in the Pricing department.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements describe the general nature of work performed by people assigned to this job, may not be performed by all individuals in this job, and are not a complete list of all job duties required.

• Collect, analyze, and organize market data.  Build and manage dashboards and analytical tools to enhance pricing capabilities and streamline reporting.
• Create, maintain, and distribute routine and ad hoc reports, ensuring accuracy, and addressing any discrepancies in the data.
• Track market trends and recommend actionable strategies based on insights.
• Monitor market dynamics using current reporting tools to maintain awareness.  Recommend and assist with enhancements to those reporting tools.
• Develop data visualizations that effectively communicate insights, trends, and impacts from strategic decisions.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify key metrics and create reports and visualizations to monitor and track performance.
• Present findings to the Pricing department and partner with stakeholders to optimize pricing strategies.
• Take responsibility for other unique and ongoing responsibilities as assigned.
   

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

• Knowledge of the residential mortgage industry, mortgage insurance, premium products, and pricing.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, an understanding of urgency of requests, and how to prioritize work.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and act as a subject matter expert and resource for others.
• Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and technologies across a broad spectrum.
• Experience with MS Office Excel, SAS or Python (or other scripting language), SQL (or other database technology), and Tableau (or other data visualization technology).
• Demonstrated ability to structure problems, draw conclusions, and present findings.
• More than 3 years of relevant work experience (mortgage industry preferred)
