Pricing Strategy Analyst
REPORTS TO: Senior Product Manager or Lead Product Manager
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Pricing Strategy is a critical function of the GIW® Slurry Pumps Product Management team at KSB GIW, Inc. Product Management plays a key role at the intersection of customer/market requirements and the product development and production activities that ultimately serve these needs.

- Enable sustained growth and market penetration of various product lines competitively positioned within their respective target market segments
- Continuously assess product health, in terms of both market performance and long-term profitability, and use data to prepare informed recommendations regarding cost control initiatives, supply chain strategy, discount policies, sales initiatives, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pricing
- Establish and maintain global list prices for new equipment and spare parts based on market requirements and optimization of revenues and margins
- Understand and manage regional pricing variances, in consultation with various KSB Mining sales offices and licensed manufacturers of GIW® products
- Identify innovative pricing strategies aligned with market requirements, and collaborate with global colleagues in order to implement and manage new pricing models
- Develop and communicate guidelines for the pricing of standard, optional, and custom product configurations, at the global and regional levels, and from the OEM and service organization perspectives
- Understand and monitor production, procurement, and logistical costs across global production facilities and distribution channels
- Perform margin analyses in order to assess the health of each product line and identify and prioritize cost control and value engineering measures
- Perform business analyses in support of new products and new partnerships
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders of varying technical and commercial backgrounds and levels of seniority, in order to develop and improve pricing strategies and processes throughout the organization
Collect Market Feedback
- Actively seek out and gather customer feedback through direct communication and sales channels
- Monitor market performance of GIW® Slurry Pump products
- Understand and continually seek new knowledge of the markets and applications where GIW® Slurry Pump products are used, as well as the competitive environment in which they are applied
- Organize and coordinate calls, meetings, and visits as needed to establish and maintain open communication
Define Product Requirements
- Collaborate with members of Sales and Product Management in the development and management of product pricing strategies and business plans
- Identify and collect product requirements, with a focus on product positioning and competitive pricing
- Manage and maintain global license agreements for GIW® Slurry Pump products
Cross-Functional Support
- Maintain and share pricing expertise through documentation, training, and direct communication
- Ensure the availability, accuracy, relevance, and consistency of pricing documentation and related materials
- Facilitate and expedite cross-functional communication to improve customer-focused results
- Support Sales in quotation and market analysis activities
Process Implementation, Improvement, and Management
- Develop and manage global pricing processes for KSB Mining and GIW® Slurry Pumps
- Develop and/or utilize available tools to implement and communicate pricing strategy throughout the organization
- Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions for other department and cross-functional processes
- Initiate, organize, and participate in the establishment of new processes and related improvement efforts
- Identify, coordinate, and lead project based improvement efforts throughout the organization
