POSITION SUMMARY:
In the position of Pricing Lead you will use data & analysis to uncover and recommend pricing opportunities. As a Pricing Lead you will be responsible for supporting the squads focused on Customer Acquisitions, with business cases, compliance management, new pricing models & campaigns. In this position you will provide support for acquisition strategies across all our brands in both Canada and the USA including Cogeco, OXIO, and Breezeline.
From you, we are looking for a strongly engaged individual to deliver on your squad's vision, provide clearly communicated insights and ideas, and bring a strong knowledge of competitive pricing strategies.
In this role, you will work within an agile squad as the pricing lead. Your squad will consist of other leads from marketing, web teams, go to market, analytics, and finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand the USA & Canadian telecom market space, the key competitors, and competitive pricing to recommend new pricing and promotion strategies supported by strong business cases.

Manage E2E pricing launch from proposal, negotiation, approval, implementation, compliance & PIR.

Close competitive gaps as needed.

Identify the best way to simplify, optimize, position and implement the promotional pricing strategy.

Manage and optimize pricing - includes current pricing structures, rate Increases, new product introduction strategies and campaigns.

Perform financial evaluation (business case) to assess pricing action and effectiveness.

Report on the performance with action proposal to course correct when needed.

Manage price analysis and resolve discrepancies if any

Analyze financial impact on pricing action in view of future forecast, learning and optimization.

Collaborate closely with your squad in an agile work environment to have a successful launch for the planned activities.

Promote self-organization and team spirit, champions continuous improvement, advocates for the right instead of the easy solution

Contribute to build a trusting and safe environment where problems/challenges can be raised and addressed without fear.

Understanding customer needs and integrating this into the delivery of all the executed activities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of the Canadian Telecommunications industry is an asset.

Working knowledge of the USA Telecommunications industry is an asset.

Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional partners through collaboration and open communication.

ACADEMIC TRAINING:

University degree in Business, Marketing or Finance.

MBA degree is considered an asset.
WORK EXPERIENCE

+5 years relevant experience in a pricing, marketing or program management role where you were involved in executing key strategic marketing and/or pricing initiatives.

Pricing experience is a requirement, within the telecommunications industry an asset.

Experience in an analytical function is an asset.

Advanced PC skills including the ability to work proficiently in Google Office Suite.
