Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for leading pricing activities for our LTL business accounts to maximize profitability and efficient utilization of company resources. This position requires less supervision, more responsibility, and would create/submit smaller proposals independently. Larger and/or complex bids would not be submitted without being reviewed by a manager.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine pricing consistent with company objectives as it relates to market rate and customer objectives with high levels of accuracy
- Analyze customer data and accessorial to develop a growth strategy for a specific account that will positively impact network volume and profitability; drive strategy and influence with internal teams utilizing extensive customer knowledge, objectives related to pricing needs, and market intelligence, as needed
- Lead business development in coordination with division specific growth strategies to expand customer and incumbent base with maximum profitability
- Initiate conversations and manage quality of revenue and yield management
- Create and drive account specific strategies based on historical data and future growth goals with minimal leadership guidance
- Influence at the Director and above level driving account strategy with minimal leadership guidance
- Lead account conversations with senior leadership in conjunction with division specific goals to expand sustainable market share across existing and new customers
- Initiate and manage projects assigned by leadership that will have positive impacts on profitability or operations
- Travel to and meet onsite with customers to conduct account reviews to maintain market competitive pricing to retain and expand business
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position will report to an office if candidate is located in the following commutable areas: Lowell, AR; Los Angeles, CA; Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Pittsburgh, PA; Richmond, VA; Rochester, NY; and West Orange, NJ
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3-4 years of relevant transportation logistics, pricing, or finance experience, or comparable combination of education, experience, and training, and/or military equivalent
- Knowledge of LTL (asset-based or third-party) or similar complex transportation modes is strongly preferred experience, and training, and/or military equivalent.
Preferred Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in transportation logistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field with 3-4 years of relevant transportation logistics, pricing, or finance experience, or comparable combination of education, experience, and training, and/or military equivalent
- Experience in pricing, costing, procurement, transportation network design/engineering, or comparable skillsets is strongly preferred.

The expected starting pay range for this position varies based on location:
Lowell, AR: between $68,00 - $86,00
Los Angeles, CA: between $79,00k - $98,00
Dallas, TX: between $72,00 - $90,00
Des Moines, IO: between $68,00 - $86,00
Atlanta, GA: between $68,00 - $86,00
Chicago, IL: between $68,00 - $86,00
Richmond, VA: between $68,00 - $86,00
Rochester, NY: between $68,00 - $86,00
West Orange, NJ: between $79,00k - $98,00

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
