BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area is seeking an experienced Integration & Test (I&T) / Integration, Verification, and Validation (I,V, & V) Lead to support the XM1155 Seeker Development Program, to work in our Huntsville location. In Huntsville, our Engineering team is working in a recently opened state of the art facility and operating in a unique environment where we have the power and resources of BAE Systems behind us while working in a dynamic and flexible model with the feel of a start-up.
Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Support to Field and/or Flight Testing activities
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluation of alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
  • Supports the development of verifiable requirements and compliance matrix files for both systems engineering and hardware/software engineering requirements.
  • Generate overall system test strategies, along with associated documentation to include system verification plans and procedures.
  • Ensure that appropriate facilities and test equipment needed for system level testing are planned and made available at the appropriate scheduled time.
  • Manage activities associated with environmental qualification testing, to include overall plans, procedures, and facilities.
  • Manage activities associated with creating, managing automated testing with regard to precision munitions.

This position is considered hybrid. A hybrid schedule will allow for in-person collaboration and the performance of certain work while onsite at our BAE facility, while also allowing the flexibility of remote work, when applicable.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Active Secret clearance required, along with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or Computer Science
  • Experience working across the entire Systems Lifecycle but with emphasis on hands-on the systems integration and verification/ validation phases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as the position will require regular briefings and narrative reports to senior engineering leadership within the program portfolio.
  • Requires skills in system test development, test planning, testing operations, and lab setup
  • Requires experience testing RF systems and testing active and passive IR seeker/ sensor systems


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in identifying and tracking technical risks
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Experience in system architecting of solutions for guided projectiles is preferred, along with experience in leading technical teams
  • Test execution and the ability to work across functional engineering disciplines will only serve to enhance success in this most key position within our precision guidance portfolio of programs
  • HWIL or Systems Integration Lab development or operational experience
  • The candidate should enjoy problem solving and have the ability to produce concrete results despite significant ambiguities in the problem space
  • Comfortable in a lab setting working with a combination of both hardware and software
  • Experience collaborating with design teams assessing threats, developing and quantifying operational level systems requirements, developing operational systems concepts, and assessing mission effectiveness in simulated environments
  • MS Systems Engineering
  • Digital Engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML), Model Based Agile Engineering (Value Driven Digital Threads) and Agile Mindset principle, practices & processes and tools & techniques


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $111700 - $189900
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
