Department Overview
Our Servicing experts service all Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA Finance loans originated by Walker & Dunlop as well as certain life insurance company, bank, and CMBS loans. Our Servicing experts are the borrower’s primary point of contact and ensure that the requirements of the investors are met from loan closing through payoff. The Department consists of six main functional areas: Loan Administration, Asset Management, Insurance Compliance, Investor Reporting, Treasury, and Compliance. W&D’s Servicing portfolio is the 8th largest in the U.S., and W&D is one of Fitch’s highest-rated Servicers, with a rating of CPS1-.
The Impact You Will Have
Provide administrative support to the pre-closing insurance team for commercial loans in accordance with investor guidelines. Assist team in assessing coverage, running flood determinations, assigning new loans to consultants and processing vendor invoices. Provide technical support to Pre-Closing Insurance/Underwriting/Production/Closing staff throughout the insurance review process.
Primary Responsibilities

Run flood determinations and analyze the potential flood risk. Work with Servicelink and/or FEMA to resolve flood zone disputes.

Compile Appraisals, Engineering, Seismic and Zoning reports, and any other third-party report for the final insurance review.

Responsible for maintaining insurance data in Box, Salesforce, and any other Data Application as applicable.

Assist with processing invoices for services rendered by outside insurance consultants.

Engage the outside insurance consultants to begin the insurance review process.

Work with and assist the Insurance Servicing division as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned

Attendance is generally 8:30 am – 5:30 pm EST Monday through Friday with the ability to work up to 2 of those days remotely
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred, but not required, minimum of 2 years of insurance experience.

This position has an estimated base salary of $55,000 - $65,000 plus discretionary bonus. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
