We are looking for an enthusiastic PR & Communications Intern (5-6 months) to join our team and take on an exciting challenge. We are searching for a student with excellent communications, writing and interpersonal skills to assist in further improving and implementing our PR & communications strategy, while generating buzz for our flagship brand, CheapTickets.
As part of a diverse, collaborative, and international environment, your ideas and input will be highly valued alongside your ability to get things done. During this internship, you will be based in our Amsterdam office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the PR & Communications Lead in developing and executing PR strategies and campaigns for the Dutch and Belgian markets.
- Help draft and translate compelling content for various channels, including press releases, articles, LinkedIn posts, website content, and posts for the company’s intranet platform.
- Assist with responding to journalist queries.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining PR collateral (e.g., press kits, fact sheets, etc.).
- Collaborate with the PR & Communications Lead to monitor press coverage and report on the performance of PR outreach, using measurable KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Help pitch stories, press releases, and thought leadership pieces to secure positive media coverage.
- Support the planning and execution of PR events.
- Coordinate with colleagues across the organization (HR, Marketing, etc.) to align plans and ensure an integrated approach.
- Assist in organising company all-hands meetings and other internal events, ensuring everyone is kept well-informed, aligned and engaged.
This internship is for you if you are:
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Interested in reading Dutch and international press.
- Knowledgeable about the Dutch media landscape.
- Creative and enjoy coming up with unique story angles.
- Enrolled in a relevant field of study (e.g., Marketing, Communication, Journalism) for the entire internship duration.
- Available to work full-time for at least 5 months.
- Passionate about communication and PR, with a creative mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Enthusiastic about travel and inspiring others to explore the world.
- Organised, self-disciplined, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
- Eager to learn, hands-on, and open to trying new things.
- Enrolled at a university in the Netherlands for the duration of the internship.
