Leidos has an opening for a Portfolio manager in Reston, Virginia. The primary focus of the group is reverse engineering assessments of underground, hardened and/or Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) facilities and processes. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple projects to achieve strategic goals by developing and implementing program strategies, managing budgets, timelines, and resources, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to monitor portfolio progress and mitigate risks.
The successful candidate will have excellent project and portfolio management skills, be exceptionally organized, have great mental agility, and with excellent depth of recall. Candidate will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team of government and contractor personnel. Work will be performed within a government facility.
Role and Responsibility:
- Responsible for working with the Government to establish portfolio goals, cost, scope, and schedule; and to communicate those to subordinate project leads.
- Responsible for management of the portfolio, and the project management of assigned projects in accordance with Leidos, Government, and best practice needs.
- Coordinate with the technical chiefs and a production management cell to obtain and allocate resources (people, budget, time) across projects within the portfolio.
- Keep multiple stakeholders informed regarding project and portfolio status and related issues.
- Brief senior officials as required.
- Develop subordinate project leads who will usually be dual-hatted with a technical role on the project.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI, or a Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI, and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI w/ poly level clearance.
- Requires BA/BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Extensive experience with program management, project management or resource scheduling and forecasting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully brief and interact with Senior Officials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Program Management (PgMP), Project Management (PMP), or similar certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- Intelligence or defense-related project management experience
- Experience in WMD processes or technology, construction, geology, tunneling, targeting, weapons effects, or facility infrastructure (e.g. electric power systems)
- Experience managing highly technical research and development projects

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
