What you'll be doing
As the Portfolio Financial Consultant, you will report to the Director, Portfolio Initiatives & Execution and will be leading the timely delivery and accuracy of health and financial information with value-add insights on all CIBC Canadian Banking project investment funded by EPP (Enterprise Project Portfolio), by Partners and by Line of Business DOE (Direct Operating Expenses). You will be maintaining relationships with the Line of Business Executives and Leaders, Delivery Leads and respective delivery teams, business partners and technology teams, Strategic Growth Initiatives (SGI) Office, Enterprise Project Office (EPO) to ensure compliance on all aspects of the project investments governance.

How you'll succeed

Project performance analytics and reporting – Responsible for the production of aggregate reporting of the Canadian Banking project portfolio, monitoring overall performance and highlighting/escalating areas of concern. Appropriate value added recommendations are brought to the respective escalation points promptly for executive level decision making and minimize risk and impact to the overall business strategic goals.

Provide analytical insights – Provide insights on the portfolio management of financial and benefits. Reviewing trends and projections to accordingly provide analytical view of the data and recommendations. Recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Maintain Relationships – Partners and maintains ongoing open communication with transparency with primary stakeholders within the Canadian Banking business areas to ensure oversight and alignment on all for Canadian Banking programs, projects and initiatives information tracked and reported by the Canadian Banking PMO. Advocate/facilitate information gathering and sharing with the Business executives, leaders, owners and delivery managers, EPO, Enterprise Strategy Office, Canadian Banking Project and Business Finance, and Canadian Banking Executive and Leaders throughout the execution of Portfolio Management functions. Seek and foster cooperation at all times to timely achieve shared business goals and priorities
Who you are

You can demonstrate experience. 5+ years of project management and/or financial reporting experience in the financial industry. You are comfortable communicating analytical insights to the audience including senior leaders. Ability to look at large amounts of data to extrapolate investment insights like trends, risks, potential gaps within the portfolio. Proficiency in reporting tools of Excel, Alteryx and Tableau along with strong knowledge of data management standards.

You have a degree/diploma. In mathematics, statistics, finance, project management, computer science, and/or related field.

You can demonstrate knowledge. Knowledge of Personal & Business Banking Products and Canadian Commercial and Wealth including systems and processes. You understand business end-to-end scenarios from a client, business user and product management view.
