About Bridgewater’s Singapore Office
We opened our Singapore office in 2022 with the strategic goals of capitalizing on growing commercial opportunities in Asia as well as expanding our research & investment capabilities to the region. Our team in Singapore is responsible for:
- further deepening our ability to partner with existing institutional clients.
- driving new market development with prospective advisory and distribution relationships in the region.
- enabling around-the-clock portfolio construction and trading oversight for all our strategies in collaboration with our Westport colleagues.
About the Team
The Portfolio Implementation team is responsible for implementing Bridgewater’s portfolio management logic, ensuring every position and trade meets the investment intent of our strategies. We do this by overseeing the algorithms that reflect Bridgewater’s 45 years of compounded understanding in portfolio construction, and constantly deepening our understanding of risk, diversification, and portfolio management. The Singapore Portfolio team mirrors the capabilities of our Westport team and enables our systematic investment implementation to run around the clock, consistent with the global markets Bridgewater trades.
About Your Role
- You will operate the systematized investment logic we use to create ideal portfolios for our clients.
- You will oversee a set of processes that ingest updated market data along with our view from our research department, apply portfolio construction logic, risk controls, and client specific constraints to determine those ideal portfolios.
- You will oversee our logic for choosing which instruments we want to hold and then deliver the set of trades necessary to implement our portfolios to our trading department.
- You will regularly communicate your understanding and assessment to a diverse group of people, including senior investment managers, traders, and developers.
- You will partner with technologists and researchers to constantly improve our processes, focusing on increasing efficiency or the implementation of new logic or portfolios.

You will drive the following responsibilities:
- Executing and overseeing the systematized logic we use to generate client portfolios and trades every day.
- Driving initiatives to improve the quality, reliability, and efficiency of the systems you own.
- Evolving the methods and best practices used by the broader investment community.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Effective English language written and oral communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week at our Singapore campus, located in the Central Business District.
- Flexibility of working hours is required.
Compensation
- The annual base salary for this position is S$150,000 - S$200,000. The total compensation package includes variable compensation in the form of a performance-based bonus.
