Job Description

  

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Policy & Procedure Writer with 2-5 years of experience in policy development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Word, particularly in templating and formatting, and experience with Navex Policy Tech. This role involves creating, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, review, and update policies and procedures for various departments including Human Resources, Information Technologies, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Procurement, Marketing, and Quality. 

  • Utilize Microsoft Word for advanced templating and formatting to create clear and professional documents. 

  • Work with Navex Policy Tech to manage and maintain policy documentation. 

  • Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to gather necessary information and ensure policies are accurate and comprehensive. 

  • Ensure all policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements. 

  • Coordinate regular reviews and updates of existing policies to reflect changes in regulations, company practices, or industry standards. 

  • Manage metadata to ensure accurate and efficient document retrieval and organization 

  • Provide training and support to staff on policy and procedure implementation and adherence. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Business Administration, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology).  

  • 2-5 years of experience in policy writing and development. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, with strong skills in templating and formatting. 

  • Experience with Navex Policy Tech or similar policy management software. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Experience in writing policies and procedures for multiple departments is highly desirable. 

Preferred experience: 

  • Experience working on large documentation projects, including managing the document lifecycle. 

  • Experience creating style guides and templates for document control. 

  • Previous experience in roles such as technical writer, document control specialist, information management coordinator, or a similar position
