Job Description
We are seeking a Platform Owner - Network Reliability Engineering to join our dynamic and growing Global Network Platform team. This role will be responsible for providing the framework, processes, and strategies necessary to ensure our Network Team can successfully deliver key initiatives. The Platform Owner will work closely with stakeholders to build roadmaps, prioritize requirements, define operational vs. project work, and deliver long-term value through Agile program management.
Key Responsibilities:
Framework & Process Development:

  • Develop and implement effective frameworks and processes that empower the Network Team to successfully deliver initiatives on time and with quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and external stakeholders to optimize and streamline workflows and lifecycle processes.


Roadmap Building & Planning:

  • Lead the roadmap building process for the Network Reliability Engineering function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, map, and prioritize requirements while ensuring buy-in for objectives.
  • Provide clear, actionable plans that ensure timely execution of key initiatives.


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a primary point of contact between the Network Team and stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are understood and met.
  • Prioritize stakeholder requests based on business needs, impact, and feasibility, while securing alignment for shared goals.


Scrum Implementation & Management:

  • Implement and manage Scrum processes, ensuring team efficiency and alignment with agile best practices.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups, and other agile ceremonies, ensuring that teams are continuously improving their performance.
  • Remove roadblocks to ensure the team delivers high-quality results.


Operational Work vs. Project Work:

  • Define and communicate the distinction between operational and project work for the team and work with the Network Operations and Network Solution Delivery Teams to ensure proper alignment and coordination of related work activities.
  • Advocate for and prioritize projects that deliver long-term value to the company. Ensure the team is adopting a MVP approach to balance the immediacy and urgency of tactical deliverables while ensuring alignment with broader strategic, high-impact initiatives and product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align network platform initiatives with long-term department and business objectives.


Program Management:

  • Own the delivery of internal team programs, ensuring they are executed efficiently and meet the expected outcomes.
  • Provide clear, transparent reporting and progress updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Become a key partner in larger organizational programs and initiatives, influencing the strategic direction and providing support outside of the immediate team.


Continuous Improvement & Strategic Initiatives:

  • Lead lifecycle related initiatives to improve the performance and scalability of the Network Team's platforms, processes, tools, and telemetry technologies.
  • Monitor industry trends and evolving technologies to ensure that the team stays at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in platform management, network engineering, or related platform and SRE domains.
  • Proven experience in Scrum/Agile implementation and Program Management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around a common vision.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and prioritize strategic projects versus operational tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and other project management platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep experience in Network Reliability Engineering and/or Infrastructure Platform Engineering.
  • Certifications in Scrum, Project Management, or related methodologies (e.g., CSM, PMP).
  • Deep experience working with cross-functional teams and managing large-scale programs.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, delivery / implementation of new sites and services, and DevOps practices.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$133,000.00 - $209,000.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
