Job Description
The International Private Bank Finance and Business Management organization is looking for a highly motivated project individual who can lead the Business management squad of this platform modernization program for Germany.
As a Platform Modernization Business Manager in the International Private Bank, you will be engaged in a strategic program to redesign its Technology platform supporting the business.
The target platform, Temenos, will rely on one or several of the following components:
- Strategic platforms already in use in the JP Morgan Chase & Co group
- Integrated/vendor-provided Core Banking platforms
- Specialized systems built from the ground up to support the evolution of the Private Banking business
Job responsibilities
- Act as a Business Manager supporting the German team. This involves:
- Work closely with Market Manager, Banker Team Leader, Investments Team Leader, Client Advisors on growth and remediation, and develop business management goals and objectives that eventually tend to profitability and business growth.
- Work closely with control and advisory functions (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Control, Supervisory Management) and ensure prompt and initiative-taking intervention on upcoming/potential issues.
- Drive the implementation of the Finance & Business plans for the markets under remit to achieve established growth and profitability objectives.
- Be the Business Manager responsible for the project
- Collaborate with the broader team to define the key requirements for the workstream
- Work in close partnership with the other functions (Business / Technology / Operations / Corporate / etc.) to design a consistent Front-to-Back solution.
- Define the project workstream structure and delivery plan
- Identify/escalate issues related to scope/schedule/resources
- Be the ambassador for the function in the broader program team representing the business. Ensure the voice BM is heard and that Finance and Business Management requirements are considered and prioritized in the overall delivery plan
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Good understanding of investment products and relevant regulatory framework.
- Relevant experience in the wealth management industry.
- Ability to think strategically. Strong analytical / problem-solving skills - ability to analyze complex problems/scenarios and popularize/socialize the outcome with a non-technical audience.
- Confident communicator who can present to stakeholders across the organization
- Deep understanding of investment products and relevant regulatory framework
- Fluency in German and English language
